Sincerely Hope 这一学生社团的宗旨是:变“自我中心”为“服务大众”,树立新一代华人的形象,为青少年提供多种社区服务机会,为需要帮助的人贡献时间和力量。自成立以来已组织了社区公园清洁、修补图书馆的破旧图书、为低收入社区的儿童准备礼物等活动。

Sincerely Hope is a teen volunteer organization under the jurisdiction of CAAOC (Chinese American Association of Orange County) and CPAOC (Chinese Parents Association of Orange County). The mission is to redefine the new Chinese-American from self-centered to the service-centered generation. The function is to provide variety of community service opportunities to teens in Orange County, so we can dedicate our time and effort to reach out for the people who need help and care.
The organizational structure of Sincerely Hope has two main branches – High School branch and Junior High branch, each is run by four core members, who are the president, the vice president, the secretary/treasurer, and the historian/photographer. The leaders are elected by members on the annual basis. As the number of member grow, each branch may split into smaller branches based on grade level and/or gender.
Sincerely Hope holds monthly meeting as well as random minor activities, such as variety volunteer activities throughout Orange County, and regular major activities, such as fundraising events, normally at bi-monthly basis.
Since its initial meeting at the beginning of summer of 2012, Sincerely Hope already involved four different volunteer activities throughout entire Orange County. The first one is the Adopt-a-Park at Peter’s Canyon Regional Park, we helped the rangers to clean the weeds on the trails. The second one is clean trash for six parks and two schools in Woodbridge community. The third one is iTRY-athlon for organizing athletic events. The fourth one is helping Think Together, a non-profit organization, repairing used books for local schools and libraries. The future events already planned out include Festival of Children, Feed the Hunger, Christmas Shoeboxes and etc.

Sincerely Hope is a teen volunteer service group that provides community service for students from 6th grade-12th grade. The group belongs to a non-profit organization called Chinese-American Association of Orange County. The purpose of this group will be to provide community service in various different activities to give back to our community. The group will be separated into two sections: one for middle school and one for high school.
Service Hours: Each member is required to complete at least 25 service hours. There will be two types of service events. One type is the major event and the other is minor event. There will be an average of six to eight big events per year. Some major events include talent show, bake sale, garage sale, and etc. Attendance to all major events is mandatory for all members. If a member fails to attend at least two of the eight major events, then they will not be able to receive an award at the yearly award assembly. The minor events will take place either once a week or once in a few weeks on a regular basis. These minor events are not mandatory and are available to all members who sign up for the event.
Meetings: There will be one meeting per month for the leadership committee: President, Vice President, Secretary/Photographer, and Treasurer. For all other group members, there will be a short 10 minute meeting before each major event. Failure to attend the meetings for the leadership committee will result in a demotion from their position.

Leadership: There will be four leading positions in each group: the President, the Vice President, the Secretary/Photographer, and the Treasurer. The leadership committee will meet to discuss major events and minor events for the entire group to participate in. The President and the Vice President will lead each meeting and share the responsibilities to lead the group. The secretary will take notes at each meeting and take photographs of each event we volunteer at. The secretary will also be in charge of keeping track of each member’s hours. Treasurer will keep track of the money we earn from fundraisings and other major events.
Sincerely Hope Awards Event: All members in JH and HS will attend their end-of-the-year awards assemblies separately. Awards will be given to the members who earns the most hours, participate the most, show the spirit and etc. in their groups.
Voting Procedure: All members are encouraged to participate the voting for the four leadership positions on a yearly basis. All four positions can have maximum two-year term.

Budgets: developing the annual budget as well as comparing the actual revenues (profit) and expenses incurred against the budget
Financial policies: overseeing the development and observation of the organization’s financial policies (how we use the money; further define in future)
Reports: keeping the board regularly informed of key financial events, trends, concerns, and assessment of fiscal health in addition to completing required financial reporting forms in a timely fashion and making these forms available to the board
Before fund is available, the Treasurer will act the same as Secretary.

Think Together is one of the largest non-profit organization focuses on helping and teaching kids during after school hours especially in under-resourced communities.
Six of Sincerely Hope members participated an two-hour session Book Doctors reviewed, repaired, and restored about 1,000 books. These books will go back into the Orange County community and into the hands of children. Because of the service provided by all of these volunteers, Think Together has been able to distribute as many as 35,000 books a month.
